1)
No one has a perfect life. Well a lot seems to have perfect life.
Each of us has our own burden to carry, own problems, and stuff.
Me? no exception.
Despite everything that has happened in my life, trough my grief on loosing my loved ones, there are still things that I am thankful for, that I am grateful for.
We need to count, to mention out our blessings. We need to start to recognize each, that we may not take things for granted, and that we may not always see our lives from the negative sides all the time, while thinking that material things are the only thing that we see, count, or recognize as blessings.
Material things that I am thankful for:
Having my own salary to add up to our total income.
The toys.
The furniture we could afford.
The cellphone I have.
The shoes.
The clothes.
The house (provided by the school, although we also pay the rent).
Immaterial things that I am thankful for:
The lunch time where I can go home and see my son.
I still can work because home is just a walk away :).
Having a supportive husband.
Having a happy kid.
Able to help students, especially who lives in our house.
Jogging track is provided in the campus.
Behind the campus lays villas with pretty views that we can jog at.
There's a Club Sehat store inside the campus.
Live in a mountain area, fresh air, but only like 30 mins away from the city :)
List goes on... :)
Sometimes we just have to realize things, open our eyes and our minds in order for us to know that we are (actually) blessed.
2)
jeal·ous
We tend to see and in the end, get jealous with what other people have, in this case, explanation point 1 and 3.
At times, we see what our friends or other people have, what they achieved or possessed, and start comparing it with ourselves. It is okay if we do it in order for us to get better, to motivate us, instead of for us to see it as "we are in the same "positions", but why does she/he has this/that? How can they afford that but we don't? Why can't we have that while they could?"
People have their own ways of managing things out, different sources of income, different family backgrounds, and all else.
Do not let that thinking affect our reactions towards others (unless we know they possesses things in a negative way and you refuse to get involve with certain type of people), because if we react differently, indirectly showing a negative reaction, that is jealousy already.
Sometimes we are too jealous and wasting too much time of thinking "how could they have this/that?" that our eyes and heart were closed seeing what we actually (already) have.
Start realizing that not everyone could have what we have. Like a saying said that someone else might want to be you.
3)
I provided my kid with (turned out to be a lot) of toys so he could enjoy staying at home.
He turned out to be a happy kid. I don't say that is the only thing that could make a happy kid, it is how we raise him, I guess. We take him out to play, and stuff like that. We scold him too if he disobeys. I am still figuring out too, what actually makes a happy kid, as in he has a happy vibe, while some other kids don't.
I don't want me myself or others to "ruin" the happy vibe in him.
I protect him. I protect his happiness. We as parents try our best to avoid him to get involved with a negative environment, or negative vibes from others.
To be happy all the rest of his life is impossible, we just want him to stay basically happy.
It is indeed a lesson for me too, to have more positive vibes, to rest with a positive environment.
I started jogging, started eating clean (although it is still once in a while), start to be more happy with what I have and what others have, to be ignorant to certain things that tends to give negative vibes on me.
I want to be happy :).
