SHORT GETAWAY TO BANDAR LAMPUNG

September is a month full of special people's birthday.

It was mother in law's on the 4th, my husband on the 7th, and today, my dad's :').

About a month before, my husband had the idea of going to Bandar Lampung to give a birthday surprise to Mama.

Since we only had/took 2 days off from work and it takes about more or less 10-12 hours drive, calculating and comparing, we decided to go by plane, on friday.

Ended up we had the same flight with my father in law, from Bandung to Banar Lampung (he was on a business trip).

I tried to pack light at least for myself, but still, when you have a kid, got to bring his toys, snacks, drinks, clothes, etc on board, why carrying your own stuff like cellphones, drink, wallet, and camera. Oh well.. :D

I have this fear on being on an airplane nowadays since the AirAsia crash last time :(.

Thank God we arrived safe and sound, and ya, Mama was surprised and happy to see us :).

On Sabbath, we went to a combined Sabbath service in a small church.  I had my flats on, since it was the only shoes I brought (yea, this time no sneakers, only took a pair of flats and a pair of slippers to minimize my stuff and to teach myself a little, the meaning of "modesty").  It had been on my mind for these past months, I would love to go to worship at small churches, to train myself to be more humble, more content, and to teach myself more on modesty.  I think I need all those, specially when it comes to going to church, worshiping God.

Saturday evening, little bro in law went out first to buy a birthday cake.  We had dinner at home with the cousins, and a nephew who happened to celebrate his birthday on the same day as Mama.

After that we went out to a shopping center, then looked for pempek but turned out all was closed, went home, and gave Mama the cake and gifts we bought and brought from Bandung :).

Sunday was actually the 4th of September, which is the birth day.

We went to the beach, to Pasir Timbul.  Had to pay Rp.10.000.,- / person, parked the car, and then rent a boat, I guess it was more than Rp.100.000.,- going back and forth (fair price lah..).

It was shoooo beautifuuul!! Oh my.. I fell in love with the beach!

In the middle of the beach, ada umm.. apa yah namanya.. penangkaran ikan, I guess? dengan gazebu around (bayar lagi kalo ga salah).

Jadi ada jembatan dari gazebu-gazebu itu, terus turun ke pasir yang bener-bener timbul.  Enaknya itu, pantainya bersiiihh banget.. ngga ada karang juga, dan cetek sepanjang mata memandang (at least mata gua.. hahaha..), jadi anak main air dan berenang dengan bebas, ngga perlu dipegangin.

On monday we went to penangkaran rusa, trus ke taman kupu-kupu, dan lanjut makan sore di Mie Koga :D.  Malemnya nge-mall..

Came home on Tuesday, dijemput sama sepupus, treat them di Burger King, jalan-jalan di PVJ menghabiskan sisa cuti 1/2 hari itu :).
