About "Planning & Preparation"

Talking about plan(s):
I'm the type of person who love to do it way before "the day" and sometimes a long way before, just like now, I start preparing for my son's 2nd birthday party already hahah.. Yep, it's september and Skyler's birthday is on december :D.  Celebrate it with family, close friends, more friends, or not at all, doesn't matter, I don't wanna rush (lie! not celebrating it does matters!! Hahah..!).

Why? too excited?
Of course preparing parties are exciting! But, that's not the main reason.  I don't like to rush on things.  Start preparing the decorations now gives me more time to browse, print, cut, and THINK.  Preparing parties and organizing it requires A LOT OF THINKING, IDEAS, AND TIME.

Last week I went out with a friend, accompanying her actually to buy things for her daughter's birthday.  At the first shop I popped out the question: "do you have anything that is (Skyler's birthday theme)?" the first woman said they don't have.  While waiting for my friend's order, another woman said "wait, I think we got something in that theme" she went in and came out with hats in Skyler's birthday theme, and guess what, I bought them, 60pcs :).

Preparing something in a rush really gives me headache, I need to think of what to put on and where, what to buy, what to fill (on the dessert table, for instance) in a short time.  I hate having regrets like "why didn't I.. I should have..".

Speaking about birthday party,
I had my 1st to 10th birthday celebrated, at home, with friends and family, simple, fun, happy :).
I got pics of them, except my 1st and 10th, the 10th was recorded with a video cam.
As far as I know, as I attended birthday parties before, all my life, kids (and parents) always dress up neatly, as if they were going out to the mall or even like going to church.  That's why I dress up my kid that way whenever he got birthday invitations, either small party or big party.  For me, dressing up also means you respect the host, don't you think so too? ;).  Party is party, ayt?
