Right to the BIG story of this weekend:
I LOST MY BAG. Again, MY BAG. Not only the bag, but with everything in it, of course.
How did it happened?
So when everyone was having lunch, we, the ladies, have our bags on the chairs where we previously sat on.
Why?
Because it's hard to bring bags along while having lunch, because we need to hold a plate, a cup of water, a plate of fruit/s and cake.
And so far, no one had ever lost their BAG since the first time we have our meeting there. Besides, it's inside the room.
During lunch time, Kak Meggy asked me : "Sind, is the bags save inside?"
I nodded.
After I finished my food, I went inside and some other friends were in there already.
I want to look for my wallet.
But, where is my bag?
I asked one of my friend who use to doodlebug people. I thought he hide it.
He said "No".
Asked other people, and no one said they saw it. The bag is one I rarely bring.
It's my Mom's. Her Korean friend gave her.
Searched inside other rooms.
Negative.
Others started to know that I lost my bag.
If someone was joking around, he/she must have returned it by that time.
But it didn't happen.
We went to the building security and made a report.
"Contact number?" he asked.
*smile* "I don't have any number left, they took MY BAG, remember?!" I answered.
The man smiled.
Then they took me to the CCTV room to check on the videos.
Negative.
Went back to the room.
Negative.
Next question:
Did I cried?
No, I didn't.
Why?
I don't know, I just don't feel crying for those stuff, though I was upset, of course. Like who wouldn't?
It's just a headache thinking that I have to make all those cards again, and so much things to do.
He/she doesn't only stole my bag, but also "stole" my time and cost me more cash to replace what I lost.
Let's make a list of what I lost:
My Mom's handbag,
2 cellphones
(lost all the contacts, hundreds of sms in a folder from my Mom that I forwarded from my old cell that I've sold, the phone number of the owner of the room I'm staying at>>how do I confirm after I pay her?! Hope she wouldn't think that I run away!!),
a sony digital camera
(My 22nd birthday gift from my Dad!! sheesshh..!!! Gifts are so valuable to Me!),
a spyderbilt wallet
(A room key, ID card, 2 University Identity cards (I can't make these again!!!!), Centro friends card, Multi Mart card, 2 ATMs, Sophie Martin member card, Tax ID card, pictures, cash, my budget list, my room electricity serial number, business cards, Bible verse cards - I Chor. 13 (hope he/she reads them and can be touched by it) - those are what I can remember),
room key
(1 "I Love Jesus" keychain, 1 Singapore keychain from my friend, 1 half Petronas tower from my Filipino friend..hikz..),
blush on
(the one I just got from Bandung last time!!! The Maybelline one!!! hufff!!),
lip gloss
(just got it a week ago from Kak Ceryl brought from US =(),
my bf's pen,
rexona stick
(I just bought this one as well. I didn't know why did I brought it. I usually don't bring this stuff anywhere except for an overnight stay).
Those are what I can remember.
The mess he/she caused me:
I needed to borrow my friend's cellphone to call and block my ATMs, and that I have to PAY back her load I spent.
Buy another temporary cell number.
I need to make a reference letter from the police department.
Print new picture for a new ID card.
I need to MAKE & PAY a new ID card.
I need to make a new tax ID card.
I need to go to a bank close from my office to make a new ATM.
I need to go to a bank far from my office (opposite direction) to make a new ATM, and it was with my old ID card infos =(.
I need to go to a mall in order to use the same old cell number (1).
I need to go to a building in order to use the same old cell number (2) with the opposite direction from my office, and the operating hours is from 8.30am to 4.30pm. I can't catch it unless I have to leave the office early or come late in the morning.
The cash inside the wallet is my friend's money that she asked me to keep Rp.100.000, another Rp.50.000 she just returned, Rp.50.000 for the calendar I sold to my friend, and other cash amount I don't really remember.
I need to save/spend money for new cellphone and new camera.
Most stuff above cost me MONEY.
It really bothers my cash and savings budget.
GOD IS ALWAYS THERE!!!!
I've withdrew cash last week, and exchange it to smaller amount of money for my workdays meals and transport and have it in envelopes for some days.
I still have cash that I didn't store at bank.
My friend lend me her cell.
I WAS LOCKED OUTSIDE!!!!
There was a man who was sitting infront of my room that night, he almost broke inside my room from my window!!
"NO! There's a big closet in there!" I exclaimed.
He almost then opened the net on the window.
"Don't! There are a lot of stuff on the cupboard!!"
He then wants to break in from my backdoor!!
heeshh.. he's trying to help but stressing me out by his action. Why? cuz I don't know who he is!!
My neighbor said that the only thing we can do is to break in from the back door, but just wait sometime (I think he also doubt the other man I was saying).
I really don't know what to do.
Breaking a door means I can't go ANYWHERE than just stay in the room until a repair man comes.
GOD IS ALWAYS THERE!!!!
When I was in my friends' room,
my other neighbor came and said:
"Cika, your room is open."
I was so surprised and couldn't say anything.
I went back, and he told me that he tried opening it with a key in his room, and though the key doesn't fit in the hole, he tried and tried, and it was opened!!
HOW GREAT ARE YOU, LORD!!
One of the woman around was negative about it, she couldn't believe that other different key can open other door. She was afraid that the other guy can open any door!! Haha.. well, it's a blessing for me though!! =)
"Welcome to Jakarta!" said one of my friend commenting my shoutout at facebook.
What a very late welcome!!
I've been here since almost 4 years ago!! ;)
THANK YOU, JESUS
for having me know before all this happened,
that ALL WORLDLY THINGS ARE NOTHING IMMORTAL!!
And thinking that other people even lost houses by fire; house, family, friends by earthquakes.
And me?
I "just" lost a fully-loaded bag.
It helped strengthening me also.
THANKS GOD,
I've sent my savings to my Dad end of last year, and for not being able to upgrade my cam.
If I did,
wohooo!!! That's gonna be a consideration worth for a cry. Haha... =).
(serius mode)
I've lost something much more valuable that "just" a fully-loaded bag, and it really taught me about "letting go", though it's one thing that sometimes made me wonder: "HAVE I REALLY let go of it? or that I JUST THINK that I have but actually HAVE NOT REALLY?"
They said that I was calm with this loss.
Thank you, Jesus. We've made it!!
