A night that started out everything...

As I see, the last post I had was Tuesday, December 15, 2009.
What happened next?

The same day, it rained when we were going home. I didn't bring my umbrella, so there was me and my friend under her umbrella.
I got wet, not all wet though.

That night, 11pm while I was having a phone call with my bf, I wasn't feeling well, felt like I was going to have fever. The next day, I couldn't go to the office, yes, I had fever.
I thought it was my tonsils, I was coughing also, I was afraid I was infected with any lung disease.

I took syrup for cough, medicines for tonsils. My bf insist me to take medicine for headaches. I hate drinking medicines, specially the one I have to swallow. Huffff!!! I prefer syrup most of all!!
I have a thermometer in my room, so I checked my own temperature.
I had fever almost everyday.
On sabbath, some of my friends, church pastor and wife (his wife is a doctor) visited me. Got antibiotics (another medicines to swallow).
Good my bf came to Jakarta since wednesday evening. But since we don't stay together (duh!) it was still hard being sick and alone in my room. Compares to? home of course!!! Miss being sick at home, where there were my parents taking care of me every single minute.

Day passed by.

Monday morning, Dec. 21, I planned to come to the office though I wasn't feeling that well yet.
Went to the bathroom, and saw this red spots on my hands.
Hurried out right to the mirror.
What did I found out?
my face was all red!!!!!!!
I was shocked!
I called the chuch pastor's wife, and what did she told me?
"You got rubili which is MEASLES".
For goodness sake!!
This is the first time of my life having this kind of disease.
Hishhhh!!!
My bf left to his working place, and there I was left alone again. The doctor visited me, and took me to the hospital on the afternoon, had blood-check. She said if it shows bad result, I need to stay few days in the hospital =(. My Dad was like "hah?! and who will take care of you?!" I just replied "staying in my place is just the same, everyone goes to their office".

After several hours, thank's GOD it showed a good result.
Visit another doctor, he asked what happened, checked on me, and asked me if I have this thing coming out from my ears, I said "no". He said "good", because sometimes measles caused complications like pneumonia and infection in mid-ear.
Scary, huh?!

Tuesday Dec. 22, all those red spots showed up on my body, from head to toe.
I still had fever, cough, swollen red eyes, and I was really dizzy!!!

One morning, I was really thirsty for hot drink, I tried to make it myself, but I was too dizzy that I had to go back and forth from the kitchen to bed. I couldn't handle it untill I had to delay it for another 1-2 hours.

I struggled with the medicines. Owh, the doctor in the hospital gave me prescriptions. More to drink!
Hufff...
I had to take medicines for fever 3 times a day!! Weeewww...
Also antibiotics 2 times a day, another vitamin c once a day which I didn't drink everyday cuz it was huge! Ey, I'm drinking it now!!

I got better, I just need to get rid with the fever and dizziness.

Christmas?
Rest in my room!! I was tired of being inside my room.

Sabbath came, there was an sms came into my inbox, and it's from my Filipino friend!
They were already at JISDAC church, him and the choir: AIYC that stands for AIIAS International Youth Chorale.
I was sooooooo excited!!!
I left Phils on 2001 and that is how long we've been separated.
They were not my batch, but we're in the same age, me and the boys. They were juniors when I was a senior.
My bf came again that weekend, so he took me to JISDAC.

I had to change my language settings first. Haha...
Also met Grace, another AIIAS friend but not close, she is way younger than me. She came home from US.
Had lunch there, then catch them up at Tangerang at Mounth Moriah Chinese Church in the afternoon for a mini concert.

After that, we had picture taking, chit chat, got "pasalubong" from the boys. Well I ordered them to bring me.. hahahahaaaa.... Arne got me a Filipino handicraft and a 2 term english sabbath school (I asked specifically for this!). Then when we were on the way out of the compound reaching the highway, Aldwin called me and tell me to go back to take the "pasalubong" from him. What a kind bf I have! He took me back! Aldwin rushed and gave me a plastic bag, and he rushed back to his car as they were leaving to another destination.
I opened it, it's a pair of Petronas Tower keychain in a box. So nice.. =) he said one for me one for my bf. How sweet... =)
I was just so excited to meet them!!!!!

Time to fill up our tummy, my bf and I were actually going to Pancious Pancake, but I cancelled, because it was pretty late already and I needed rice. So off we went to a new mall, Central Park, instead.
I bought cute fridge magnets that shapes like a product. I got a Kit Kat, Quick Melt Cheese, a box of instant noodles, and my bf got a kraft singels magnet. All in small size. I forgot to take a pic of it. I will, later.
There were lots of froyo on that floor!!! Where I also found this Monas tower made out of pop corn! It even got a record on MURI, Indonesia's museum of records.

Got home at about 10-11 p.m, really tired.
My bf went home directly because he was flying to Medan on the next morning at 7.am.

Dec. 27.
My parents' 25th wedding anniversary.
Miss the both so much!
Felt so lonely that day.. my friends went to Mall Taman Anggrek, they asked me to come along, but I was too tired and lazy to, but also bored being left alone. But I chose to stay.
It was really a bad day for me, cuz I was so excited the day before, and suddenly being left alone the day after.

So Monday, Dec. 28 , was my first day coming back to the office.
Back to work!!!
