My Left Eye - For those who uses softlens

So my bf insist me to go to the doctor. I didn't want to, actually.
Well everyone thought that I got infected by virus that I can transmit to others. They told me to use Cendo Xitrol eye drops. I use to read the lines on items I buy, just like food, snacks or drinks. Yea, I go through the labels. This cendo Xitrol said "dispensing without prescription prohibited". I asked the pharmacyst about it, but she said it's okay to take 3 drops each day. I've been using it since monday noon. Then still no progress. So then I decided to go to the doctor. Where? my bf mentioned a hospital, but I refused, I wanted a specialist. So he came up with Jakarta Eye Center. I send text message to my bosses, 1 replied and said yes, the other didin't reply. Well then I hurried out, took a taxi. It far from my office. Going to Menteng is far, I had to pay Rp.72.000 for the taxi fare.

I called before I leave. It opens 3-5pm daily.
I arrived almost 5pm. Registered, waited.
Good thing I read this sign "WIFI area". Great! For some minutes I browse with LAN after browsing with my load when I haven't read the sign. After some time, they called my name. At first, they checked my eyesight and my eyeglasses. Got out to the waiting room again, and then see the doctor. I got a woman doctor. She said "you had softlens, huh?!" I said "yes".
She took me to a.. I don't know what to call it. She pulled up my eyelid, gosh!!! It was so painful!!! I was like "aduhh!! duh!! sakit!!" She said "hold it, hold it!" then "hmm.. ada pembuluh darah yang pecah.. pendarahan di dalam.." (there's a blood vessel that burst and bleed inside). My tears didn't stop rolling by then on my left eye for like 5 minutes more or less.

The doctor wrote a prescription, she said I can continue using the Cendo Citrol but 3 times isn't enough, I gotta use it 6 times a day, with an additional Cenfresh in minidose (1 drop each hour for 2 days, 6 drops per day afterwards-my tears keep rolling when I slept facing my side bacause of that eye drop is a tear film), Otto Ulceranin ranitidine 150mg (yes, I have ulcer! 2x1), with Cataflam 25mg (2x1). I guess the Cataflam is a powerful one, that's why they have to give it with an ulcer medicine =(.
I asked the doctor for a syrup medicine like Mylanta, but she said the Ulceranin is stronger than that (meaning the other cataflam is.. man, a strong one, sampe harus di pasangin ama obat maag yang lebih keras juga).
"Doc, what's the difference between what I'm having right now with the one that infects others? do I have it as well?" I asked. "No, it's different. That thing always have dirt on the eye/s". Thank's God I didn't get infected by it.
I have to see her again by tomorrow, friday afternoon. She asked me to come again to see how it goes. Hopefully I'll get better!! (my eye is still swelling by now).

What does it do with softlens?
On saturday, I used my softlens from morning untill late night without dropping any solutions. It was the dryness that hurt my eye and the eyelid inside.

Guess what? my choir is having a photo session this coming sunday. I can't postpone it anymore because it has been postponed once. Wish me luck!! hehe..

Here's some info about the cataflam:
CATAFLAM is a powerful medicine for the relief of acute painful and inflammatory conditions. Each CATAFLAM tablet contains 25mg of diclofenac potassium. CATAFLAM is not available in many countries without a prescription. In New Zealand it can be purchased from a pharmacy in packs of 30. We strongly recommend that CATAFLAM be taken directly after a meal. Never take CATAFLAM on an empty stomach, as this may cause gastric discomfort. Onset of pain relief is usually within 15 to 30 minutes If you suffer from a stomach ulcer DO NOT TAKE CATAFLAM.

CATAFLAM is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsai). If you have ever had an allergic reaction or asthma attack after taking diclofenac, or any other anti-inflammatory medicine such as aspirin, do not take CATAFLAM. CATAFLAM is particularly effective against the following medical complaints:

  • Sprains and Strains
  • Bruises Neck Pain
  • Back Pain Period Pains
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Post Operative Pain (e.g. Dental or Minor Surgery)
>> Why am I having this medicine? probably inflammatory in my eye. Is it? I hate taking medicines into my body. Hhh.. It always have side effects. Just like now, I have to take another medicine which is for my ulcer for me to be able to drink this Cataflam.
